Frequently asked questions
Who has to file DIR-3 KYC?
Everyone allotted a DIN by 31 March of a year must file KYC for that year — even if they hold no active directorship.
What's the deadline?
Generally 30 September each year. Filing late means a deactivated DIN and a ₹5,000 reactivation fee.
DIR-3 KYC form vs web KYC?
If nothing has changed, a simple web-based verification suffices; first-timers or those with changes file the full eForm.
